Sensory Room

The Challenge:

A specialist SEND school approached Pinnacle Play to create a calming environment where pupils with autism and sensory processing needs could regulate emotions and engage in safe exploration. The school wanted a space that could support both individual therapy sessions and small group activities.

Our Solution:

We worked closely with staff to design a bespoke sensory room tailored to the pupils’ needs.

The final design included: Chroma tubes, a bubble tube and fibre optic lighting to create a calming atmosphere along with a selection of our Led wall panels, soft seating for comfort and safety, tactile wall panels to encourage sensory exploration and a soothing sound system for music and audio therapy.

Our installation team managed the full process, ensuring minimal disruption to the school’s daily routine.

The Result:

The sensory room very quickly became a valued resource for both staff and pupils.

Teachers reported improved focus, reduced anxiety, and greater opportunities for positive sensory engagement. The space is now regularly used for emotional regulation, one-to-one sessions, and group activities, making it an integral part of the school’s support provision.

Our Mission

Play is more than just fun — it’s essential for learning, development, and wellbeing. Our mission is to provide inclusive, imaginative environments where children of all abilities can flourish. Every Pinnacle Play project is designed with care, innovation, and attention to detail.
